summer pastels and cut-outs.♥

hello!

time for another "outfit of the day" post.☺ its been so long! i know. hehehe.
this is my simple, dainty ensemble yesterday at A's celebration.

DETAILS:
dress- i got this from SM, a brand called Betty. :) the fabric is airy and light. perfect for summer. plus the cut outs are really cute. time to show some skin in a very delicate and subtle way. :) i love the paint splash print on the fabric.

shoes- these i got from Ukay. yey for ukay! :))) these are super cute pastle mary janes! these compliments the color of the dress with out taking too much attention. i believe these are 2.5 inches of sturdy heels.
these are my 3rd pair of shoes i got from ukay. :) will post about the next two someday.
these costs about 400php.

bag- i got this over 2 years ago and i almost forgot about it! hahaha. i got this again from SM Accessories for only 150php. its on sale. :) the lace detail is very feminine and adds formality on the look.

accessories- i just wore dainty studs from F21, and brought with me a white shimmery cardigan (for the movies)

love this photo of us.♥

alright..that's all about it. thanks for dropping by!

prints on sale! :))

hello!

today A and me with a couple of good friends celebrated our 27th month together.♥ yey! another good thing about this day was i got an UKAY blog for you guys!

it was really random...i wanted to look at some ukay stores in Pasay but we were currently in Manila. luckily we passed by Central Station. there in the midst of the crowd stand a humble ukay-ukay. another good thing was THEY WERE ON SALE. :)

when i was looking at these i realized i haven't got or i have a few floral or paisley patterns on my clothing. i often have those solid dark colored shirts, cardigans and blouses. since i'm feeling kinda girly today..here are the few items i got:

a pretty beige blouse with floral pattern and pearl buttons (55php)
paisley satin blouse (55php)
acid wash high waist-ed shorts (65php)
okay this last piece is kind of a wild card. i have never tried printed leg wear or leggings before because they would absolutely make my bottom half a little bigger BUT i could still make it work. :P if not...WHO WANTS THEM? haha

had a really nice day. lunch with A's chorale-mates, dinner with our two closest friends. :) and a long walk home. loved every minute of it!♥
i hope you guys had a nice Wednesday!

its been a while since my last ukay-ukay haul. soooo...i'm just excited to say that i'm still doing that in my spare time.

i went to this ukay store just here in Bangkal. just in case you're interested its front of the 7-11 at Alejandrino St. so...here's what i got. :)

yeah...got everything under the shades of blue. it was quite easy to figure out why i got attracted to these clothes. i felt an overwhelming feeling of calmness, coolness with a little bit of rest. perfect. :)

can't wait to sport them out with grandma's pearls. :)

are you a fan of blues too? :)

Shopping is a woman thing...

make a little room for IMPROVEMENT. :)

exam week is coming up. err...3 major exams in 3 days. talk about burning my neurons to the limit. *sigh. as a student we can do nothing but comply to these rules. i'm quite done for microbiology but pharma and pathology seemed light years away! but...i live by the rules, God has His reasons why things happen. so have a little faith. :) everything will be according to His plan. Amen.
yesterday was a blessing of rest and quality time with my mom and 2 titas from Bulacan. i got one day in this 4 day vacation devoted to one of my favorite thing to do in the world and that was DIGGIN' :)

i know that i have already established that most of my clothes come from these kind of thrift stores and i have proved that you can actually find very good items in one store alone through blogging.

little did i know that my relatives are reading the blog and are kinda interested in diggin' as well, so they came all the way from Bulacan (a province north of manila) just to visit the ukay stores in Pasay to look for outfits including bags and shoes! funny to some but pretty wise decision for me. :)

again, if there is a Sale in an ukay store 100pesos is enough to get a complete outfit. :)

here's some proof:

this was taken in a fitting room in one of the stores in pasay. hehe. just so you know :P
  • i found this oxblood lace skirt- for 50php
  • a white top- 50php
  • leggings and flats are mine :))

a Giordano, sleeveless top for 55php

laced-racer back top = 55php

this one is only for 20php :))

pants for 35php

striped skirt for 20php

a Wenko cardigan for 50php

and i also bought a pair of suede boots (thanks to mama!) and a cute chambray flats. :)

me: busy admiring these. got it for 180 php :)

so that's it. :) writing for this blog and finding out many of you liked it makes me really happy.  and i will strive more in order to improve this blog. :) *promise! i just wanna say:

THANK YOU ALL FOR VISITING MY BLOG!♥

diggin' finds: the accumulation. :)

hello! :)

its been a month and surely i did some diggin' but was unable to post them here. sorry.

if you guys are still looking for reasons to dig, well i have 3 new reasons:

  1. Amparo's RTW- has started segregating their authentic branded clothes from the rest. it was really convenient because if you're a type of gal who loves ZARA, MISS SIXTY, H&M, BURBERRY, A/X, ESPRIT (just some of the brands available) then this store is just for you! plus the branded clothes are really in good condition. if you're to visit the store then these brands are on pink hangers. :)
  2. SALE! SALE! SALE!- everything and EVERY STORE in Libertad, Pasay was on sale! from shoes to bags, tops, jackets, dresses. you have a wide variety to choose from. last friday my mom bought like a whole new wardrobe. :))
  3. FOR LESS- as i've always said. your moolah will go a long way in these kind of stores. :)
so...here's what i've bought from July-August. :)

idk the brand but it shinny and i love it. :)

club monaco cardigan :)

H&M cardigan.

a boyfriend blazer in beige
baby pink raglan sleeved top. from a Korean brand

Korean brand The Neal Laced top
here's an aqua blue knitted sweater :) i've paired ot with my fave dark blue skinny and black monobo flats.

for me its not about how much the clothes cost or where were they bought, if wearing them makes you happy and confident then GO flaunt it.

fashion is a reflection of your personality. like you, its unique and beautiful. :)express it and inspire others to do so. :)

a gift from our Padz.♥

And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow.
Gilbert K. Chesterton

it seemed that the rain would never stop yesterday! from morning 'till night endless drops of water were falling from the skies. when it was time for our 6:30 pm Youth Mass, it rained even harder!

however that did not stop me from attending the mass, plus i wore this:

  • red and yellow polka dot pull-over- 45php
  • black skirt- 55php
  • Monobo peep-toe plastic flats- from SM
  • Nine West black bag
  • plus Padz' gift for the graduates of the Youth Camp- a light-weight cross. :)

trick of the trade

hello diggers! :)

i'm back with a few more tips about one of my favorite hobbies, diggin', in tagalog mag-ukay-ukay.

let's say that you've started to buy things from the uk stores and you have been addicted because in comparison to malls and tianges, uk stores are still very cheap that you can buy a lot of clothes for a fraction of the money you usually spent on shopping.

however not all clothes from the uk stores are in good condition, so let me share a few tricks that i've learned after spending years in shopping the uk stores.

its okay to have a closer inspection of the things you are to buy form those stores. even though the items are cheap, you'd still wanna spend you money wisely.
  • if buying tops: check the armpits, buttons, seams, texture, sequins, detail, metal work.
NOTE: if the blouse or tip is missing a button, try going to Carolina's and look for similar buttons. or if you like you can make your own adjustments.

you can even change the whole set of buttons. :) be creative!
  • pants: check the length and fit. you can always have it altered later.
  • shoes: sometimes the uk stores have shoes that seemed brand new (specially in Baguio City) but most of the time the shoes, comparing brand new ones, are worn and in not so good conditions. size ranges are from 5-9 (in my experience)
NOTE: check the sole first to see of the shoe is still intact. also look at the straps (if there's any). check if the adjustment works properly.
  • bags: i haven't bought a bag in an ukay store before but they are selling signature and non-signature bags. timing is everything. if the LV is for you then you'll sure to find it. :)
i hope some of these tips help. :) these are just from my experience and i would just like to share them with you. :)

thank you for reading and spending time here!

write to you guys soon! :O

5 easy steps for diggin' :)

hola! :)

its just been a day since my last post about diggin' or ukay ukay but i just want to share with you more info. :) like this 5 easy steps that i follow during shopping the uk stores and even the mall.

since i'm starting my second year in medicine next week, blogging will be a little more difficult to do. that's why i'm bombarding you with info and tips.

YESTERDAY: i've passed by this uk store in Pasay City (near the LRT Station, Libertad). its one of my favorite stores to go into because there's a lot of options and styles to choose from. <3

the store is called AMPARO RTW. they are on sale for almost a week now. the price ranges from 20-95 php for clothes like tops (long or short sleeved, sleeveless, blouses, polo for guys, slacks, denim, jeans, shorts, skirts, dresses and other long blouses) and their bags and shoes are on 30% discounts.

so..if its your first time to set foot on an uk store, please don't get overwhelmed and dumbfounded. :O (happened to me on my first time) coz you'll see literally endless racks FULL of clothes, sometimes it might trigger the sneeze reflex.

step 1: breathe. once you've recovered from the shock of seeing too many clothes. try breathing and start looking around.

it also helps if you bring a friend who has been in an uk store to help you look for clothes. :)

step 2: looking. try to find a rack that seemed to be most appealing to you.

in stores like Amparo's they have separated the dresses from the tops, short sleeved from long sleeved, slacks from denim. :)

if you liked sleeveless tops then go for the rack that holds them. ehehe.

step 3: dig! rummage through the racks to see the details and style of the clothes. take them off the racks to have a better look.

step 4: fitting. xempre. you need to fit the clothes you've gathered. sometimes it looks good on the hanger but doesn't on you. try on the clothes its not a problem. :)

important: i know the store is not sosyal or high end but we still have to be polite and return the clothes to the proper racks if you don't like them.
or...
just ask the store clerks to help you put them back.

step 5: check out. if you liked the clothes, they fit you well, and contented on the price then head on to the counter and pay for it.

easy, right? :O

HAVE A HAPPY DIGGIN'! :e
