Summer 2014: OLFC Outing, Calatagan, Batangas

Beat the heat! :)

Last April 26, the Our Lady of Fatima Parish Choir aka FPC had our annual summer outing in a remote, end-of-the-map, virgin beach resort in Calatagan, Batangas. This is a private resort in the wilderness. Now, don't get me wrong, this is a perfect scenery for us to bond over the company of each other for there are no wifi, no tv. Its just us choir members, good food, summer breeze and a whole lot of booze!☺☼

We arrived at the resort almost lunch time because we have to pass by the market to get some supplies. From the market near the Port of Calatagan (this port has vessels that could take you to Puerto Galera, Boracay, Mindoro) there is another 20-30 minute ride to the resort but all those time travelling is worth it! Grabe! It is one of the places we ought to be during this summer afternoon!

The beach is still untouched by machines so it gave us a feeling of adventure as we ventured into the sea. There are deep puddles, shallow areas and areas of sharp coral reefs! My inner biologist was so KILIG!!! Hahaha! I'm super excited to dive in the deeper parts. There are free swimming fish everywhere!

Another advantage of this resort is that it has its own BALSA and rubber boat to assist our friends. Plus this resort is complete with its own kitchen, 4 big bedrooms; 3 with AC, a veranda and a dining area overlooking the sea! And once the tide is low do not fret because there are 2 freshwater swimming pools to bathe in!

Here are some of the photos courtesy of Ms. Joy Gestiada. :) Enjoy!

See that buoy (black floater) over there, that is the landmark ahh...in this case a watermark that signifies that beyond that point is the deep sea. :) beyond that is the open water.

LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT THING! :)

Two days are not enough of this kind of fun but let's save some more next time! :)

my 2013 update!

Hello everyone!
I really missed writing for my blog! T.T Please forgive me if it took forever to once again update my posts. I have been really busy in school. Med life is challenging and at the same time wondrous for me. I became so focused on studying because I would absolutely want to become a good doctor in the future.☺♥

Alright! So much for my introduction, this post will be about my 2013 (since it was the year I stopped blogging). WARNING: this will be a lengthy post but please try to bare with me until the end. Thanks!

Since my last posts about the upcoming Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Bangkal, Makati, fund raising activities were known, I am pleased to inform you guys that the OLFC Concert was a BIG success! Thank you for everyone who came and cheered for us. All the proceeds were donated in a church in Iloilo, for the rehabilitation of their parish community from the super typhoon Yolanda.

Another good news came right after the concert week! The Our Lady of Fatima YOUTH CHOIR won the 1st ever chorale singing competition! :) I couldn't tell you how much the kids screamed and celebrated for their efforts during the preparation for this competition. They were soooo ecstatic!

The winning piece was "Munting Sanggol" :)

Christmas came! :)
The Acostas, all wearing football jerseys! :)

Caleb @ 2.☺

“Parents can only give good advice or put them on the right paths, but the final forming of a person's character lies in their own hands.”
― Anne Frank

Hello everyone!

Time goes by so fast, just a year ago we joined the Cuachons in celebrating their baby boy's, Jaden Caleb, 1st birthday and just this 2nd day of Novemeber, family and friends are gathered at Jollibee, Magallañes to once again unite with this loving family in honoring Caleb's second birthday. :)

I personally enjoyed the party not just because I really love Jollibee but it is also because the host, Kuya She, kept the party alive, energized and super fun! There are games for both adults and kids plus surprise or in my own terms, ambushed dance number by the Padi Dudi youth! Another part of this gathering that I appreciated are the BABIES! A and I's Sunday playmates, Brii, Miel, Jari and baby Gab, are all invited and are sharply dressed for the party.

Here are some photos of the event from Len's camera. :)

The Cuachons with the always happy, Jollibee :)

Here's Caleb's ninong Martin and Mommy, Ate Camille.

The Cuachons with Lolo Zeke and Ate Che.

Babysitting for Miel. :)

GAB! :)

AMBUSHED!!!! We danced to the tune of "Whoops-Skiri-Whoops" haha! I was so embarrassed!!! I haven't seen the dance steps before but I jut have to go along with it! Really fun!

Girls VS Boys Game. The men lost the game and therefore punished to spell C-A-L-E-B with their butts!

Blowing of the cake by the birthday boy. :)

This one is soooooo....ADORABLE! :)

I just can't wait for the next year's party! Wishing Caleb many many many more birthdays to come and more love! We know that he is a good boy and we'll always pray for him and his family. :) We love you playmate!

    thank you guys for reading!
